Picasso Soft Tissue Laser

We are proud to announce that our doctors are now using the Picasso™ Soft Tissue Diode Laser as part of our continuing effort to stay at the forefront of the technology boom in dentistry. The soft tissue Laser has applications in many areas of dentistry, such as tissue control, reduction and removal as well as the sterilization of periodontal (gum) pockets. Typically requiring little or no local anesthetic the Laser is a patient friendly way to provide better treatment for our patients. You may be asked to put on a special pair of protective eyewear to shield your eyes as we use the Laser. We are very excited to be able to improve our ability to provide you with excellent dental care with the use of the Picasso™ Laser.

ADA Answers Questions about Dental X-Ray Study

On April 10, 2012 a study was released that linked dental x-rays with certain non-malignant brain tumors. The American Dental Association has reviewed this study and has found this study to be seriously flawed. Please follow the link below to read more about this study. Also, remember, we are always looking out for the patient’s welfare and have responded to the question of dental x-rays and health problems by going fully digital and by always using full body and thyroid shields for all our patients. Digital x-rays have the very lowest exposure rates of any x-ray equipment. We are also certified by the State of Massachusetts as having surpassed the requirements for minimal x-ray exposure to our patients.
